CONTACT THE MODERATORS
Your moderators for this strange trip into the near future are Allison, Angela, and Cassie, three ladies that chillax, relax, and max it all cool somewhere near the East Coast – close enough to all reside in EST, at any rate. Sometimes, they have to go places and do things, so here is a notice as to which ones are on hiatus and which ones are not:
  • ALLISON is ON HIATUS FROM 24 JULY - 3 AUGUST.
  • CASSIE is ON HIATUS FROM 27 JULY - 14 AUGUST.
  • ANGELA is on-duty (the poor girl).
When not on hiatus, all ladies are more or less highly committed to Internet Motion in a serious way and therefore are easily reached by e-mailing manhattan.mods @ gmail.com! If, for whatever reason, you don’t feel comfortable coming to one of the moderators one-on-one, please feel free to leave an anonymous and screened comment below! One of us will try to get back to you – but we’ll try to make you feel comfortable enough to come out of Anonymous Land to send us an e-mail first.

Question re: International Community. What is the current status on immigration?

DEAREST ING,

Please allow me to express my shame in not seeing this comment earlier. It was consumed by cruel and unusual notif nesting floods. Since I (eventually!) answered this, I hope you haven't resolved to flog me at the post quite yet.

ALL THE BEST,
Failmod 3000

No worries!! It was not like a crazy time sensitive issue. :) and if it had been I would have been less lazy and emailed!

I hope you don't mind me asking this, but I am interested in joining your game and your holds list slightly overwhelms me, haha! I was wondering if holds expired today (March 13) or tomorrow?

Holds will expire tomorrow, but the policy will be to grant all holdees 72 hours to state whether they want an extension, after which their holds will be terminated. As such, I would highly suggest you check back on the 17th, which is when that holds page will finally be cleaned properly.

Question: What places currently operating in game would be most likely to hire a foreign national medical researcher?

The moderator shamefully admits to the fact that this could be a very complicated question, but with Good Reason as it deals with later game plot. If you could be so kind to possibly send an e-mail to the moderator account, tons of tl;dr on this subject could possibly come your way within HOURS! And really, who doesn't like tl;dr, right?

1. The Neighbourhoods section mentions that foreign nationals from mid-level threat countries will be in a different district than those from high-level threat countries. Which would Canada be? I'm pretty sure that it's high-level, but I wanted to make sure.

2. Do foreign nationals wind up in NYC because they happened to be in the States when the bomb hit? Or are they sent there even if they're in their own country, if their own country happens to be a high-level threat? This may be a stupid question. >.>

I have a question regarding Texans.

I'm apping a character from Austin, who has lived in DC/New York for the last 10 years. Do they retain Texas citizenship AND USA citizenship or does it make her a refuge? Or did she have to go through a whole naturalisation process?
