Holds

For the ease of all parties (and the sanity of one), please read the following notes and rules about placing your holds – the management thanks you in advance (!):

All holds last one week, with one extension of three days available. Life happens, as the moderator is well-aware! That being said, ten days should be enough time for you to finish the application in question. Any longer and it may be wise for you to free up the playing field for others.
Only three holds at a time, please! Don’t burn yourself out just because you want to make sure that x concept is there! This is as much for applicant preservation as it is for moderator, kiddo. The moderator also requests that you wait three weeks after receiving your last application before posting your fourth and fifth hold.
No challenges! Given the nature of the game, it seems quite silly to make challenges an option. If this means that either a PB or a vaguely similar profession/concept is taken, then – well, all my apologies.
Chromosome 17-B Applicants – remember to e-mail! As per our Chromosome 17-B rules, we want to make the identities of all with the mutation as secret as possible! Once you claim your hold, please e-mail manhattan.mods@gmail.com with the subject “CHROMOSOME 17-B HOLD: Journal Name” (journal name being the name of the journal that made the holding comment) and a link to said hold. If you made two holds in the same comment, please specify which hold is the Chromosome 17-B concept.
With no banned PBs comes great responsibility. Technically, there are no banned played bys on the game’s list – but that doesn’t mean that the moderator will not be stringent about your choices. Any painfully sexy It Girl choices in holds will be held to an excruciating standard; the same goes for PBs that are obviously in period wear. (After all, you never know; we may have a gigantic steampunk contingent on our hands!) Given that our game is set in the near future, there are a great amount of beautiful icons and actors/actresses available on the market. If you’re having problems, contact the moderator – who will, admittedly, probably contact one of her friends who know better, but that is neither here nor there.
